Ben Young accepted into Veeam Vanguard for 2020
This year I was was nominated and accepted into the Veeam Vanguard Program for 2020. With only a small number of Vanguards world wide I am honoured to be part of such a talented group from all over the globe. And also the first Kiwi ever!
We use Veeam a lot here at vBridge powering not only our IaaS Backups but our Cloud Connect Remote Backup solution and more recently Backup for Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365). We also were nominated and won the Innovation Partner of the Year award last year for A/NZ.
In particular my focus with Veeam products is the integration into our self-service portal via the APIs that their product's provide. We have a big focus on self-service and empowering our customers to control the services they have with us via this self-service portal, MyCloudSpace and the Veeam products allow us to do this.
The Vanguard nomination brings the two organisations even closer with me having more access to internal resources such as product managers, R&D teams as well as he other Vanguards who are also facing similar challenges in our industry.
A bit more info on what a Veeam Vanguard is
The Veeam Vanguard Program is Veeam’s top-level influencer community. This group shares points of view, provides feedback and is committed to mutual success. Experts in the Vanguard program are a combination of many different disciplines, contribution types and advocacy mechanisms yet are each the best in space regarding technical thought leadership for the technical communities in which Veeam exist.
Individuals have been nominated as Veeam Vanguards. A Veeam Vanguard represents the Veeam brand to the highest level in many of the different technology communities in which we engage. These individuals are chosen for their acumen, engagement and style in their activities on and offline.
